Hello again, runners!! It’s been too long since I’ve last written. 🙁 Anyhow, I think it’s about time that I finally give my opinion on the two rookies of Running Man!! When the news first came out that the two were gonna join Running Man, I remember that many runners, including myself, were somewhat hesitant to accept the fact. As time passed, however, I think alot of us are coming to like these two. I think I might know why.

Yang Se Chan

What do you think is Yang Se Chan’s characteristic? I wasn’t sure in the beginning. Haha is witty, Kwang Soo and

Suk Jin are unlucky, and Ji Hyo is super lucky! But Se Chan? While I think it was hard to tell in the beginning, I’m thinking that there’s a skit going on here. Remember the episode where he and So Min first showed up? And do you remember how it was Kim Jong Kook who strongly recommended Se Chan as a Running Man member in the first place? And did you notice that Jong Kook is favoring Se Chan more over Kwang Soo? And did you notice how Se Chan and Lee Kwang Soo began a rivalry against each other?? Hmmm, what do you make of this?

Like Jeremy (my dad) said once, maybe Running Man needed something fresh; if a new member were to come with something unique to share, for instance, maybe the show would have more energy and something fresh to make jokes about. I was actually skeptical of this idea at first, but seeing how well Se Chan and Kwang Soo are getting along, I’m thinking this could turn into something hilarious, if it isn’t yet! But I want to make this clear: no one can replace Kwang Soo, and I don’t want anyone feeling like they’re less important than other members. I simply think its funny how the two are trying to be better than the other in practically everything, like being Kookie’s lackey!

Let me be honest, though; Se Chan does seem kind of mean sometimes. It’s probably part of the skit, so I’m not gonna judge. 🙂 But, yeah, I guess you could say he occasionally seems a bit cocksure of himself. However, I’m thinking this can get pretty awesome if it’s done right! Har har har har it’s funny just thinking of the rivalry between the old maknae and the new maknae! XD

In short, Se Chan is awesome! (Who else laughed when he was pretending to be a ghost? Eeeeeeee…) Maybe Se Chan should just be himself more? Anyhow, I can’t wait to see what else he does in later episodes!^^

Jeon So Min

Well, I think we all know what Jeon So Min’s theme is: weirdness. The cool kind of weirdness. And I like it!! Her bizarre quirks, her hilarious attitude- goodness gracious, she even looks as though she could be from another universe! I’m pretty weird, too, so when I first found out that So Min is also weird (in a good way), I immediately became her fan! And PLEASE do not let me forget; I love the MongDol Sisters!!!!! Back in the day, I used to love (and still do, of course) Song Ji Hyo; she was the only girl, but she was no sissy. She was a beautiful no-nonsense nuna that loved (and still loves) sleeping, and she was so smart and lucky! No wonder I didn’t think Running Man would need another girl member!

But then came Jeon So Min.

It was only a matter of time before I discovered how adorable Ji Hyo and So Min are together as Running Sisters. Just look how they get along! The Sisterhood!! I’m fangirling so much over them!!!! EEEEEEE!!!! Anyway, I just love the idea of Mong Ji with a girl to be friends with for once! Come to think of it, it must’ve been a bit lonesome being the only girl in Running Man… But now, So Min and Ji Hyo can be more girly together, and if that’s not cute, I don’t know what is. And I want to get this clear, too: Jeon So Min is NOT replacing Song Ji Hyo, and I don’t love So Min JUST because of how she is with Ji Hyo. I just think they make awesome sisters because they are both so unique!!! Oh, and of course, the KwangMin Couple is my new favorite couple! ♥ I nearly forgot to mention that, thank goodness I remembered!

I just want to point out this one thing, though. Alot of times, So Min would make jokes that are not that decent. Well, that’s not a good thing, but it’s still better than pretty much everything else on tv nowadays. Honestly, though, that is the ONLY problem I saw. So Min Unnie’s awesome!!!

To sum it up, So Min Unnie is just what the doctor ordered: a healthy dose of quirky girlyness!!!

What I Found

Well, you might be wondering, “Jang Mi, what on earth do you mean by ‘what I found?'” I’ll tell you just what I found: a whole new way to look at this all.

Remember that fateful day seven years ago? Yes… the first episode. Whether you watched it when it aired or watched it several years later, it was impossible not to love the members. Why? Like I said in a previous post, I did not know much about the members at first. But then, I saw how hilarious and interesting (and yes, sometimes heartwarming) it was to see how the members, each quite unique, interact with each other! But now with Jeon So Min and Yang Se Chan, wouldn’t seem that the whole 7012 tradition is broken? I don’t think so.

Look again at the first episode. Now, look at the new members. We didn’t know about all the original members in the first episode, but after seeing how unique they are, we couldn’t help but like them alot! Is this not the same situation for Se Chan and So Min? We don’t know a whole lot about them yet, but maybe, after seeing how unique they are, we’ll come to like them just as much as the other members! Now, I’m not saying we should discredit the original members or anything; I just think that Running Man is going to be epic as it’s always been, that’s all!
